Altair Summerlot

Altair Summerlot, of Marion, Indiana, beloved little seven-month-old Chihuahua boy of Jonathon Summerlot unexpectedly passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. Altair was born on March 5, 2024, in Marion, Indiana, and was one of two pups born to mama Chenoa and papa Oliver. Altair and his sibling, Ozzy, joined his father, Oliver, and both became permanent members of the Summerlot family. Unfortunately, Altair and Oliver’s time together was sadly brief due to Oliver’s life ending on July 28, 2024, due to complications from congestive heart failure. All attempts were made by the Summerlot family to combat Oliver’s illness to no avail. The Summerlot family was still in the midst of grieving for their sweet Oliver when little Altair crossed the Rainbow Bridge to join his father only three months later. 

His family lovingly recalled Altair as full of energy and love. They described Altair as "perfect,” the best puppy you could have ever met. Altair gave the best hugs and cuddles. Altair loved playing with his human grandmother, Crystal. Altair packed a big, confident, personality into his tiny little body. This little chihuahua’s best friend was David, a 90-pound Doberman Pinscher. Altair was not a fan of bath time. What Altair was a fan of was his family, especially his favorite person in the world, Jonathon. 

In addition to Jonathon, mourning the loss of Altair are his human grandparents, Charles and Crystal, and fur siblings David and Ozzy. 

Although Altair’s time on earth was cut short, the memory of this sweet little boy with such a big heart and personality will never be forgotten.
