Apocalypse Boulware Obituary

Apocalypse Boulware, age 14, of Greenfield, Indiana, the handsome Cane Corso Mastiff of Andrea and Austin Boulware, passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Friday, August 15, 2025.

Apocalypse was born in Ohio on Friday, September 9, 2016, and would have celebrated his 9th birthday this September. Apocalypse joined the family the following November. Andrea stressed that making the six-hour drive was the best decision she has ever made.

Andrea felt what Apocalypse valued the most in his life was his family. He also valued being the protector over each and every one of his family members.

Andrea shared what she loved the most about Apocalypse: “He would sit on your feet so you couldn't go anywhere until he got enough loving.” She also loved that he was her shadow. If she was there, he was there right beside her.

Andrea described Apocalypse's personality as “goofy, loving, protective, easygoing, loyal, just all the best traits you could want in your family dog.”

Andrea lovingly recalled that Apocalypse did not care for the whole grooming process. “He did not enjoy baths or being groomed. I would have to get in the tub with him, and he would lay his head in my lap.”

Apocalypse had favorite toys that were "tough toys" he loved to carry around everywhere. According to Andrea, “When you came home, he would have to bring you his toy; if he was going outside, he wanted to take his toy.”

Andrea shared that Apocalypse loved going on car rides to the park. He also liked the trips to go get his favorite treats of vanilla ice cream or Starbucks pup cups. relaying, “It was his favorite!”

“Apocalypse had many nicknames, but the children mainly referred to him by the nickname ‘Bubba,’ and he answered to ‘Paco’ as well.

Apocalypse loved his entire family, but his greatest love was for Andrea, with whom he shared a special bond from the time he was a puppy. Andrea relayed, “He and I were the original two. He stayed by me through everything. He was just always very protective over me and stayed by me.”

Andrea’s favorite memory of Apocalypse was when he would play hide and seek with her. “We would play hide and seek throughout the house, and I could be in plain sight, and he would be frantically looking for me. It was funny.”

Andrea and Austin are absolutely heartbroken by the loss of their gentle, sweet giant. Apocalypse touched so many lives and left so many memories during his 8 years as a member of the family. He will be forever remembered.

In addition to his human parents, Andrea and Austin, Apocalypse will be sadly missed by his human sisters, Liliana and Georgia, and dog sisters, Zada and Luna.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever In Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home, located in Shirley, Indiana.
