Bashful Farris

Bashful Farris of Anderson, Indiana, the sweet girl of Brittany and Jesse Farris, passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Monday, June 29, 2026. 

Bashful was born on Friday May 5, 2017 from Delphi, Indiana. 

Brittany described Bashful’s personality as "Very lazy; she preferred her cat siblings over her K9 ones.”

Brittany shared that what they loved the most about Bashful was that "she loved having her belly rubbed; anytime you’d walk by her she would immediately lay down and roll over to have her belly rubbed. Even if that meant laying down right in front of you, and you almost tripping! She was funny.”

Brittany relayed what Bashful valued the most in life was “Food, she lived for dinner time.”

When asked if Bashful enjoyed being bathed or groomed Brittany recalled “Absolutely not! It was a struggle.” And she did not like going on car rides either.

According to Brittany, Bashful didn’t care for toys. “She loved napping too much! But she did love her blanket.”

Brittany jokingly shared that Bashful’s  favorite treats were “Anything from her dog food to giving you those sad eyes for her parents food.”

Bashful loved Brittany and Jesse so much. Brittany shared, “She loved both of her parents and went to work with her mom every single day, even though she napped on the job, she was a great coworker”. 

Bashful, who was also known by the nicknames of "Bash”, “Bashy”, “Bashy Girl”,  and “Bash Goo”, was loved by her family and by everyone who crossed paths with this sweet girl with her even bigger heart. She touched so many lives during her time here on earth, and she will never be forgotten. In addition to her human parents, Brittany  and Jesse, mourning her loss are her cat fur sisters, Lucy and Edna.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever In Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home, located in Shirley, Indiana. We are honored to serve the family of Bashful Farris.
