BeBe Davis, the beloved Old English Bulldogge mix of the Davis family of Lapel, Indiana, passed peacefully over the Rainbow Bridge on Sunday, January 11, 2026. BeBe was born on Sunday, March 15, 2015, at the Davis home in Lapel, Indiana.
Old English Bulldog puppies: the choice they made to raise was one of the very best breeds suited for families—according to dogbreedinfo.com, the temperament of the Old English Bulldog is “docile, but capable and protective; fearless and athletic; fierce-looking; determined and courageous; bold and friendly around their family and friends, but fearless adversaries to anyone who threatens their masters or property.” “Olde English Bulldogges are so eager to please that they may overexert themselves in an effort to do whatever is asked of them.”
And from the day little BeBe was born, she very much fit that description of her breed. Her family described BeBe as “loving and strong-willed.”
BeBe quickly grew from an adorable little puppy to a beautiful big girl. BeBe did not care much for getting a bath, but she tolerated it. She liked being brushed, though. She liked going on car rides but only liked routine, uneventful trips; unknown people and sounds gave her anxiety.
What Judy felt BeBe valued the most in her life was family. Judy shared, “She was always excited to be with her family. She would talk like Scooby-Doo Doo!”
BeBe’s favorite treats were Kongs filled with peanut butter, cow hooves, and Milk-Bone treats. Judy shared, “She would often chew her rawhide bones by holding them in her front paws as if she were lying down but would keep her rear end in the air.”
Judy shared her favorite memory of BeBe was watching her lovingly spend time lying in bed with Thunder, her human, who she loved more than anyone in this world. They were inseparable.
BeBe, who the family also referred to as “Mama dog” and “Bebers,” will forever be remembered for her immense heart, her loving nature, and the joy she brought to her family. They will miss her dearly but are grateful for the time they got to share with their sweet girl.
In addition to Thunder and her human grandparents, Judy and Donald, BeBe will be sadly missed by Thunder’s girlfriend, Rayni, whom BeBe adored; her human nephew, Bradyn, whom she loved; and BeBe’s fur daughter, pup, Snow.
BeBe was greeted crossing the Rainbow Bridge by her dad, Hercules, and aunt, Athena, who preceded her in death.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever in Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home, located in Shirley, Indiana. We are honored to serve the family of BeBe Davis.
