Beau Nelson, the beautiful Pit Bull mix boy of Allyson Nelson from Muncie, Indiana, passed over the Rainbow Bridge unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. Beau was born in Logansport, Indiana, during the summer of August of 2021.
Beau arrived at his new home and brought so much joy and happiness during his short time here on this earth. Beau didn’t mind bath time; he enjoyed the warm water and watching the swirl of muddy water go down the drain. Beau loved riding in the car, sticking his head out of the car window, feeling the wind in his face. When he wasn’t sticking his head out of the window, he would lay on Allyson’s lap while she was driving. Beau was happy munching on Nylabones and salmon skin for treats. He was always ready to snatch up any scraps of food that might land on the floor. Allyson relayed, “I think he would eat just about anything.” Beau’s favorite toys were his stuffed sharks from IKEA. Beau’s favorite activities were snoozing under the covers, and during the winter months, Beau loved lying on heat vents and wearing his sweaters to keep cozy and warm. Beau loved both Allyson and her boyfriend, Micah. Allyson shared that Beau would lay on their laps or rest his head on them and that Beau liked to be held like a baby. He was an absolute character, a rambunctious boy causing mayhem with his little fur brother and best friend, Odin. They played together, ate together, and walked together. Anywhere Beau went, Odin followed. They were inseparable. Another of Beau’s favorite things to do was to run around and chase Odin in the backyard. Allyson described Beau as “loving, playful, and mischievous,” continuing that he was “curious and always was searching for something to chew on or trouble to get into with Odin.” Allyson shared her favorite memories of Beau, which were when she, Beau, and Oden went on walks or hiking together. Beau, who was also sweetly referred to as “Beau Bear,” “Beaubarius Maximus,” and “Dobby,” was loved so much, and his big heart and wild boy antics will be missed immensely. In addition to Allyson, Micah and his little fur brother and best friend, Oden, Beau will be missed by his cat siblings, Kiwi, Mochi, and Peanut Butter Pie.
Beau is preceded in death by his cat brother, Loki, who was waiting to greet Beau on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever in Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home, located in Shirley, Indiana. We are honored to serve the family of Beau Nelson.
