Brent Lee Hammonds

Brent Lee Hammonds, age 53, of Knightstown, Indiana, unexpectedly passed away at his residence on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. He was born January 5, 1969, in Shelbyville, Indiana to the late Wilber Benge and Millie (Hammonds) Brown. Brent attended Knightstown High School and graduated in 1987, Brent was formerly employed as a driver and heavy machine operator with CGS Services, Inc. in Morristown, Indiana until leaving the position to care for he beloved mother. Brent collected lighters. He enjoyed going fishing. His family fondly remembers when Brent resided in Charlottesville he had a beautiful landscape and garden. Brent loved black licorice candy. Brent also loved his little Fox-Terrier dog, named Polly.    Brent was greeted in heaven by his mother Millie, who he loved dearly, who passed before him just nine short months ago. Brent was the father of Virginia, the brother of Victoria “Vicki” (Robert) Conley of Knightstown, Indiana, and Rodney Hammonds of Dunreith, Indiana. He was the uncle to Ashley (Brian) Grimes, Cheyanne (Ike) Avery, Cody (Stephanie) Conley, Rodney (Lesley) Hammonds, II, and a great-uncle to many nieces and nephews. Brent was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Graveside services will be held at the Dunreith Cemetery located at: 208 Rogers St, Dunreith, Indiana 47337 on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Bill Swallers officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Liming Family Funeral Home in Shirley. The staff of Liming Family Funeral Home are honored to serve the family of Brent Lee Hammonds.
