Bruiser Anderson Obituary

Bruiser Anderson of New Castle, Indiana, a 9-year-old Yorkshire Terrier of Shaylei Anderson, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday, March 1, 2025, after a tragic accident.

Shaylei’s uncle had a female Yorkshire Terrier who gave birth to a litter of puppies. Shaylei saw this sweet little boy and decided to make him part of the family and give him a forever home. When little Bruiser arrived at his new home, he brought so much joy and happiness along with him.

Shaylei shared that what she loved about Bruiser was his “wildness” and that he was “full of energy.”

Bruiser had such an easygoing personality. Although getting a bath and being groomed wasn’t Bruiser’s favorite thing, he was a good boy and didn’t give Shaylei a hard time about having it done. Bruiser’s favorite treats were anything and everything he could have. He wasn’t a picky eater and would happily snack on just about anything. Bruiser's favorite toy was basically any kind of “squeaky toy.”. Bruiser’s favorite activities were skating, running, and riding in the car. Shaylei shared that Bruiser would love it when she went “skate with him,” and Bruiser absolutely loved to go for car rides with his family; wherever they would go, he would want to tag along. Another of Bruiser’s favorite things to do was to just run free. Overall Bruiser loved pretty much anything and everything, the only real exception being the aquarium fish. According to Shaylei, he hated the fish in the tank, and he would “watch them like a hawk.”

What Bruiser loved the very most in his life was Shaylei; Shaylei was his world, and he loved her more than anything.

Shaylei described Bruiser as ”full of life, goofy, loving, determined, crazy, and a wild one.” When asked what Shaylei’s favorite memory of Bruiser was, her response was, “Every one I got to spend with him.”

Bruiser, who Shaylei also sweetly referred to as “Bruise,” “Bruiser The Loser,” and “My Boy,” was loved so much, and his big heart and wild boy antics will be missed immensely.

Shaylei is heartbroken by the unexpected loss of her beloved Bruiser. In addition to Shaylei, mourning the loss of sweet Bruiser are his human dad, human siblings, and dog siblings, Zozo and Gizmo.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever In Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home, located in Shirley, Indiana. We are honored to serve the family of Bruiser Anderson.
