Carl “Frankenstein” Erwin, the beautiful Rottweiler boy of Whitney and Tyler Erwin of New Castle, Indiana, passed over the Rainbow Bridge unexpectedly just after midnight on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. Carl was officially born on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, but his adoption day to become part of the Erwin family was on Thursday, October 31, 2019, which is how he obtained his famous middle name, "Frankenstein." Still a young guy, Carl just recently celebrated his fifth birthday this past July. Carl enjoyed chasing his own stubby little tail. Some of his favorite things to eat were bananas and peanut butter, but according to his human sister, Eleanor, he was also known to eat all of her crayons and then leave behind a special surprise of “rainbow poo." What made Carl happy was running alongside the girls while they were riding on their four-wheelers, being right there with them while they were jumping on their trampoline, chasing after the girls, and staying by their side wherever they went. He enjoyed landscaping by digging fresh holes in the yard and rolling in the most absolutely disgusting thing he could find in the yard. Although Carl didn’t care for taking a bath, he had frequent and regular appointments with the groomer. Carl was a gentle giant, and he let his tiny dog sister, Lilly Belle, be the boss of the house. Carl was a big, sweet, furry bundle of love and brought so much happiness to Erwin's home. He was the very best boy, protector, and amazing babysitter. Whitney, Tyler, human sisters Eleanor and Madelyn, as well as fur sister Lilly Belle, are absolutely devastated by the loss of Carl. Carl will forever remain in their hearts.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever In Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home located in Shirley, Indiana. We are honored to serve the family of Carl.
