Carolyn Jane (Zschiedrich) Richards

Carolyn Jane (Zschiedrich) Richards, age 80, of Home Place (Carmel) and Greenfield, IN went to be with the good Lord on July 5, 2017 with her loving family by her side. She was born on August 4, 1936 in Johnson County to the late Harold and Katherine Zschiedrich. She enjoyed camping and riding motorcycles. Carolyn was a member of Family Campers & RVer’s, Good Sam’s and Hamilton County Home Econ. Being a strong Christian, she also enjoyed her bible study group. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 63 years, Elmer R. Richards; children Betty Williams (Ernie Booher), Milton (Starla) Richards, Suzy Richards, Lyla (Dave) Paddack, Mark Richards (Sue Phillips); sister Helen Barger; grandchildren Steve (Morgan) Williams, Starcee (Jon) Headlee, Amanda Gray, Kayla Paddack, and Shelby Paddack; great grandchildren Brooklynn Headlee, Jayden Paddack, Jaxson Paddack, Jayce Logan and Oaklynn Williams. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Allen and John and her first grandson Sheldon Williams.  A celebration of life service will be held at noon on Saturday July 15, 2017 at the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 445 East 111th Street, Carmel, IN 46280.  A reception will be held following the service and family and friends are welcome to join Elmer at his home.
