Daisy May “May-May” Kistler, a precious 23-year-old Chihuahua from Muncie, Indiana, of Austin Kistler, passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. Daisy was adopted in 2003 by Austin and his family when she was just two years old. Daisy was a huge part of Austin’s life considering he has had Daisy in his life since he was nine years old and they have grown up together. Daisy ultimately became Austin’s service dog, his companion, and his best friend. Daisy was famous for her “snaggle tooth” smile because when Daisy was smiling, her lip would always get stuck showing her fang tooth, which gained her the nickname “Snaggle Tooth.” She enjoyed lounging outside, soaking up the sunshine with the boys as they played. Daisy was a typical girl; she liked her warm baths and being dressed up in her little outfits. You would often find Daisy her favorite places, nestled in the clothes basket or under some blankets, all comfy and cozy. Daisy liked to cuddle, and she adored other animals, although she outlived most of her furry friends. In addition to Daisy’s human dad, Austin, mourning the loss of Daisy, are her human siblings, Benji and Oliver Dauscher. Benji’s said his favorite memory of Daisy was when she cuddled with him at bedtime. Oliver’s favorite memory was when Daisy would curl up next to him on family movie nights. Her family relayed, “There will always be an empty space where she used to lay and a pain in our hearts that will never go away. We couldn’t have asked for a better friend. She was such a beautifully loyal companion until the end. She’ll always be in our hearts. May her soul be the light that guides our family through life, until we meet again.” Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever In Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home, located in Shirley, Indiana. We are honored to serve the family of Daisy May “May May” Kistler.
