Debbie Lynn Kerr, of Shirley, Indiana, passed away at Hancock Regional Hospital on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Debbie was born in Richmond City, Kentucky, to the late Avery and Rosemarie Masters on Monday, April 27, 1959. Debbie attended Madison High School in Richmond, Kentucky. After High School. Debbie worked at Brandywine Nursing Home, dedicating her life to doing a job she loved the most: being a full-time caregiver. On her birthday, April 27th of 1994, she received an extra special gift when she married her loving husband, William “Mark” Kerr. They recently celebrated their 32nd anniversary together as husband and wife.
She was a lover of all types of music, from rock and roll to traditional country music. She loved her little dog Peewee, who is grieving her loss as well.
Debbie’s presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. In addition to her husband William “Mark” Kerr, Debbie is survived by her two children, Jon Masters and Amanda Masters; stepson, William Kerr Jr.; sister, Connie Cole; brothers, Mike Masters and Freddy Cole; and grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as many friends Debbie made along the way. In addition to her parents, Debbie is preceded in death by her sister, Shawndra Cole.
Liming Family Funeral Home is entrusted with Debbie's care. In accordance with Debbie's wishes, she will be cremated.
