Felix Gross Obituary

Felix Gross, of Knightstown, Indiana, beautiful Black and White fur baby aged 4 of Ezekiel Gross, passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Felix was born on Friday, July 16, 2021. His start in life was not a good one. Felix was a resident of an Indianapolis Animal Shelter. With limited space and overcrowding of animals, Felix was at a high risk of being euthanized. Luckily, Ezekiel crossed paths with this handsome boy and gave him a chance for a better life and a forever home. Ezekiel rescued Felix and gave him a safe, loving environment. Ezekiel shared that what he loved the most about Felix was his soft fur, and his favorite memory of him was when he was a kitten and fell asleep eating food in his lap. Ezekiel described Felix as very shy but also very energetic and playful around people he knew. Felix liked it when his fur sibling, Chief, would groom him sometimes, but he did not like being groomed or bathed by the hands of any human. Ezekiel relayed that he hated bathtime so much and would cry whenever he got a bath or shower. Felix enjoyed his food, but his favorite treat was Delectables Squeeze Tube Treats. Felix was not a fan of car rides; he only went on one car ride with his family, and according to Ezekiel, “ he peed everywhere.” Felix didn’t really have any specific toys he was drawn to, but he claimed a yellow hair tie and liked to carry it around the house. Felix did have his “wild child” moments at times. Ezekiel shared how approximately two years ago, Felix accidentally chipped a tooth trying to bite his laptop. He also relayed that “Whenever I would try to take a bath or shower, he would start swatting at the shower curtain.” It was understandable that Felix would behave this way because Ezekiel was his favorite person. Time spent on the laptop or in the shower were times that would keep his beloved Ezekiel from focusing all of his attention solely on him. Besides being Ezekiel’s shadow, Ezekiel felt that Felix valued peace, quiet, and calmness the most in his life. Felix, who was also known as “Little Buddy” and “Baby Kitty Man,” was loved very much. Ezekiel is absolutely heartbroken by the loss of his gentle, sweet boy. In addition to Ezekiel, Felix will lovingly be remembered by his human grandmother Nicole and his cat brother, Chief. Felix loved them all so much. Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever in Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home. We are honored to serve the family of Felix Gross.
