Frisky Stine, of Greenfield, Indiana, the handsome 10-year-old boy of Nancy and Bob Stine, passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Sunday, April 27, 2025. Frisky was a resident boy. He had a rough start as a kitten and had was diagnosed with diabetes towards the end of his life, He remained a loving and sweet despite his abandonment and health issues.
Frisky became a part of a loving family after, according to Nancy, he adopted them. Frisky was born in April of 2015 under a woodpile at the Stine family residence. Frisky was a wild and feral kitten and at four weeks old he was hissing and full of sass, trying to act so ferocious and intimidating but happily accepting food from Nancy and Bob.
In time, with lots of love, patience, and care that Nancy and Bob shared with Frisky, he began to trust them. Before long, Frisky became a gentle, sweet bundle of fur. Frisky’s family described his personality as “loving.”
Nancy shared her favorite memory of her sweet Frisky: “He would sit on the cat tree and watch for us to come home.”
Frisky hated water baths but loved to have his fur combed.
Nancy shared some of her favorite stories about Frisky. Frisky was a character. He was pigeon-toed. He was also a sneaky milk sipper. One day Bob was eating cold cereal with milk and turned his back to step to the sink for just a moment, and Frisky slid right into Bob’s seat and helped himself to a few licks of cold milk before he was caught by Bob. Nancy recalled another time when Frisky was so excited when they came home he got the zoomies: “When we went away for about 3 days, he was sitting watching for us. When we came in, he jumped down and started running about the house.”
Frisky hated going on car rides; it made him cry. His favorite treat was shredded chicken and the occasional sneaky sip of milk. Nancy relayed that Frisky played with his toy rats by wrestling around with them on the floor.
Nancy shared the one thing she loved most about Frisky was the “way he tapped on my husband's leg when he wanted to be held. He would rub his face and love on him.”
Nancy felt what Frisky valued the most in life was being a part of a loving family. She felt he also valued the ability to go outside and enjoy the outdoors, which he loved, from the safety of their fenced-in area they had for him.
Frisky was also lovingly known as “Buddy” by his family.
Nancy shared that Frisky loved everyone in the family, but he was especially close to Bob.
The family is saddened by the loss of their beloved Frisky, but the love he gave so freely and his playful spirit and gentle nature will forever remain in their memories. Frisky is lovingly remembered by his human family members, Nancy, Bob, and his fur sister and best fur friend, Destiny.
