George Thomas “Tom” Partlow, age 64, of New Castle, Indiana, formerly of Knightstown, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Hancock Regional Hospital after a brief journey with cancer. Tom was born in Shelbyville, Indiana on September 4, 1958 to Delbert Leon Partlow, Sr. and Mary Louise (Gregory) Partlow. Tom attended Shelbyville Middle School as a child and became a Painter by trade. Tom worked in Indiana but eventually made his way to Florida where he started his own Painting business and also started a family. He married and had two children, daughter, Allison and son, Justin. Settling down and having children of his own made Tom so very happy. Tom’s family described him as the best dad, he absolutely loved his children. After many years, Tom returned to his home state and lived in Knightstown and most recently resided in New Castle. Tom enjoyed going fishing with his sister-in-law, Charlene, who was his fishing buddy. Tom will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Tom is survived by his children, Allison and Justin, who reside in Florida, brother, James “Jimmy" and sister-in-law Charlene Partlow, of New Castle, Indiana, special nieces and nephews; Sabrina Partlow, Kristina Cross, Charity Partlow, Sunshine Nichols, Jamie Partlow, Matt Partlow and Elijah Back. Coming from a large family, Tom is also survived by his additional brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Mary Partlow. In accordance with Tom’s wishes, cremation has been accorded and no service will be held.
