Gotti Bauman, the beloved brindle American Pit Bull Terrier puppy of Maliyah Bauman of Muncie, Indiana, unexpectedly passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Gotti was born on Monday, November 18, 2025, in Muncie, Indiana.
A pitbull puppy, the choice Maliyah made to join her family, was one of the very best breeds suited for families—according to dogbreedinfo.com—Pitbull puppies are energetic, loyal, and protective dogs that can make great family companions with proper training and socialization.
From the day little Gotti arrived at his new home, he very much fit that description of his breed. Maliyah described his personality as “a very playful, stubborn, loving boy” and said that she ““loved how hyper and lovey he was.” Gotti did not care for getting a bath.
Gotti had so many more things in his life that he loved. According to Maliyah, he always loved sitting in her lap on car rides.
He loved munching on treats of cheese and his bones and playing with his beloved toy, which was his gingerbread man.
What Gotti valued in life was spending time with his aunts, and while spending time with them, he also enjoyed stealing their Chick-fil-A food.
Maliyah shared her favorite memory of Gotti: “It was him giving hugs when I came home from work.”
Gotti, who was also lovingly referred to by his nicknames of “Gottness” and “Pibble,” will forever be remembered for his immense heart, his loving nature, and the joy he brought during his short time on this earth. He will be missed dearly, but Maliyah is grateful for the time she got to share with her sweet boy. In addition to Maliyah, Gotti will be sadly missed by his aunts, Bella B, Hailey G, Bryleigh D, and Alyssa G. Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever in Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home, located in Shirley, Indiana. We are honored to serve the family of Gotti Bauman.
