James Walter Risk, age 77, of Shirley, Indiana passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was a New Year's baby and was born January 1,1944 in Muncie, Indiana to parents; Don Willard Risk and Regina (Clement) Risk who preceded him in death. James was a 1962 graduate of Muncie Central High School. James resided in Seminole, Florida and was employed for over twenty years as a Maintenance Department Supervisor in a Nursing Care Facility and later became a Transporter for elderly patients. James loved the beach. James was adventurous and enjoyed trying different restaurants. He had a passion for antique cars and enjoyed attending car shows. He also liked to find treasures at flea markets. James was a lover of animals and a kid at heart who enjoyed going to Busch Gardens for a fun filled day. At the onset of his illness, James decided to come home to be closer to his family and friends who meant so very much to him.
In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his brother, Don Clement-Risk Jr, of Reno, Nevada and sister, Kay Ellen Sannin of Hot Springs, Arkansas. James is survived by his children; daughters, Becki (Brian) Pryor of Shirley, Indiana, Melissa (Lamont) Harvey of Greenwood, Indiana and sons, Anthony Risk and James (Tami) Risk of Seminole, Florida. He is also survived by his twin sister, Jill Smith, of Muncie, Indiana and sister, Wendy (Dennis) Frey of Port Saint Joe, Florida. He is also survived by many grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends. At the request of James, he will be cremated and there will be no service at this time.
James will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be sadly missed.
