Jay Wesley Schwab

Jay Wesley Schwab, age 22, of Greenfield, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 9, 2021 at his home. He was born December 28,1998 in Greenfield, Indiana, to parents; Wanda S. Colwell and Jack C. Schwab who both survive. Jay is preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather, Billy Joe Gardner and Paternal Grandfather, Jay Schwab.
Jay attended Eastern Hancock High School in Greenfield, Indiana and was preparing to start a new position with UPS. He also provided child care for his friends and family whenever they needed him. Jay was compassionate, empathetic  and kind. He had a good heart and was loved by many. Jay truly enjoyed hanging out with his friends, family and also loved his pets, his dog Biff and his cat, Ollie, who passed before him. Jay was a bookworm who loved reading and was a fan of adult cartoons. He enjoyed watching Rick and Morty and Anime.  He liked playing video games such as Fortnite. Jay loved all genres of music, from Heavy Metal to Jazz and Classical.  He attended Music Festivals with his friends and was excited to start learning how to play the guitar. Music was important to him and it made him very happy. In addition to Jay's parents, he is survived by his brother, Jacoby Crawford, sisters; Shoshonee (Trevor) Junga and LaDonna Schwab.  He is also survived by his Maternal Grandmother, LaDonna Gardner and Paternal Grandmother, Nina Hoverson, his Niece, Layla and Nephews; Zayden, Landon and Isom. He is also survived by his beloved pet, Biff along with a host of other family members and many friends who will miss him terribly. In honor of Jay, the family requests that everyone who attends the visitation and service to please not dress up but to dress casually, that is what Jay would have wanted. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 4pm-6pm with Funeral Service to follow at Liming Family Funeral Home located at 306 Main Street in Shirley, Indiana. The service will be officiated by Minister Ryan McCarty.  The staff of Liming Family Funeral Home are honored to serve the family of Jay Schwab,
