Jinx Sibery Obituary

Jinx “Bubba”  Sibery, of New Castle, Indiana, and little Corgi-Jack Russell Terrier "Cojack,” of Krista and Tyler Sibery, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge in the early hours of Sunday, August 4, 2024, en route to the emergency veterinary hospital. Jinx was adopted from Noble County Animal Shelter by Krista and Tyler as their first fur baby as a couple. The shelter “guesstimated” that he was approximately five years old. Jinx was adopted as a companion to Krista’s dog, Lyla, who needed a friend. Krista and Tyler chose the date of April 20, 2010 as the date of celebration for Jinx’s birthday. When Jinx arrived at the Sibery home, he had a lot of anxiety. Krista and Tyler gave Jinx extra love and affection to help alleviate some of his fears. Over time, his anxiety lessened as he settled in with his forever family. After getting to know their sweet boy’s personality, Krista and Tyler gave Jinx the nickname “Bubba” Krista was Jinx’s person. He was Krista’s shadow. He loved Krista and never wanted to leave her side. Jinx would lay outside of the shower and wait for her to step out, sit under her desk while she worked, sit beside her in her sewing chair, and sit under her recliner. He was always right by her side. Jinx was a very smart boy. He learned tricks quickly and figured things out quickly. Jinx was a great dancer, spinning in circles. He would walk on his back legs for treats. Jinx was very spoiled. Krista and Tyler would sneak him food without the other dogs knowing, and he would walk quietly and chew quieter. He could take a snack and sneak away without the others having any clue what happened. Jinx preferred fresh water from reverse osmosis, so every day Krista and Tyler would fill up the office bowl with his water, and he would always drink there first. Jinx’s favorite toy was a stuffed lambchop. He got one every year at Christmas. Jinx had the sweetest, most loving, and most friendly nature about him, although Jinx was not a fan of cats. Jinx adored Lois, the next-door neighbor who Jinx would visit. Lois would give him bananas as a treat. Jinx had a big personality in his little body; he had such a sweet soul and he will be missed by many.

In addition to Krista and Tyler, Jinx will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by his human family, Grandma and Grandpa Paw, who referred to sweet Jinx as “JJ” whom Jinx absolutely loved, by his neighbor, Lois, and by his fur siblings, Lyla, Kona, and Booker. Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever In Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home located in Shirley, Indiana. We are honored to serve the family of Jinx “ Bubba” Sibery.
