John E. Sexton, age 46, of Greenfield, Indiana passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Hancock Regional Hospital in the Hospice unit. He was born in Greenfield, Indiana on February 4, 1971 to Curtis and Judy Devitt Sexton. John was a loving man who put his family first. He loved spending time with his daughter and his family. John attended Greenfield Schools as a child. When he was 11, John and his family moved to North Kansas City Missouri where he attended Winnetonka High School. He leaves behind many friends there. John was a huge NASCAR fan with Dale Earnhardt being his favorite driver. John loved to deer hunt with his Dad, sister and many other family and friends. John enjoyed having cookouts, playing cards, and just hanging out with friends. He was employed by Sparky Electric, in Greenfield. John is survived by his parents, Curtis and Judy Devitt Sexton, his daughter, Cassie Sexton, his sister, Jennifer Nicely (Tim). John is also survived by his four nieces; Molly, Keely, Kylee, and Becca and one nephew, Tyler. Service will be held Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church located at 1202 East Fifth Street in Greenfield, with Pastor Joseph Riggs officiating. Visitation will be held from 11am-2pm. Funeral Service will begin at 2pm. Burial to follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
