Jordan Brewer Obituary

Jordan Brewer, age 13, of Greenfield, Indiana, the handsome American Pit Bull Terrier of Joe and Lyn Brewer, passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Thursday, September 18, at 3:10 p.m. of 2025.

Jordan was born in March of 2012 in North Vernon, Indiana, and joined the Brewer family exactly one year later in March of 2013.

Joe felt what Jordan valued the most in his life besides his family was his “sleep and his blankies.”

Joe and his family shared what they loved the most about Jordan: Lyn shared He was always by her side protecting and comforting and was always there even when no one else was. According to Joe, he was always gentle with the ladies of the house and the granddaughter and a lover of all people, and his human sister Madison loved his paws.

Joe described Jordan's personality as “empathetic and caring.”

Joe lovingly recalled that Jordan didn’t mind bath time at all, and he loved being brushed in the sunshine.

Jordan’s favorite things were his blankies, and his favorite treats were bacon and cheese and eggs when his tummy hurt.

Jordan had many nicknames, such as “Jordan Bug,” “Boogie,” “Jordo the Gordo,” “JorDanielson,” and “Handsome Old Man.”

Jordan loved his entire family, but his greatest love was for his girls, Lyn and Madison, with whom he shared a special bond from the time he was a puppy. Joe relayed, "His family shared how funny Jordan was about getting agitated about peeing on his own paws and how strong he was, having survived a surgery over his eye."

His family shared their favorite memories of Jordan. Lyn relayed how they played what they had as a “look away game,” how she would pet him and stop, and they would look at each other because she stopped. Joe shared his favorite memory was Jordan’s smile when they came through the door, and Madison said it was “the overnight snuggles in bed.”

Joe and Lyn are absolutely heartbroken by the loss of their gentle, sweet boy, Jordan, who touched so many lives and left so many memories during his 13 years as a member of the family. He will be forever remembered.

In addition to his human parents, Joe and Lyn, and human sister Madison, Jordan will be sadly missed by his human brother, Kegan; niece, AvyAnna; grandmas Joy and Leah; grandpa Mike; and fur-sister Guilty Sue. Jordan will be meeting Grandpa David Cales after crossing the Rainbow Bridge and reaching Heaven’s Gates.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever In Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home, located in Shirley, Indiana.
