Marjorie “Mandy” Guffey

Marjorie “Mandy” Guffey, 73, went to be with Jesus on January 7, 2014. She was born on October 7, 1940. She is survived by 2 sons; Tim York and John York of Lebanon, Tennessee, 2 daughters; Millie Lee of Hilham, Tennessee and Sherry York of Fort Wayne, Indiana. She is also survived by sisters; Elsie Patterson of Shirley, Indiana, Margie (Larry) Dorsey of Seymour, Indiana, Ann Darhing of Nebraska, Rose McMillan of Oregon and brother Virgil Patterson of Muncie, Indiana. She was also a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Guffey, Parents; Archie and Dolly Patterson of Anderson, Indiana. She was also preceded in death by her first husband and father to children, Bedford York of Tennessee. She was raised by her grandparents; Fred and Luie Patterson of Ripley County, along with her brother and sisters. She was a member of the Church of Nazarene in Chesterfield, Indiana. While living with her sister in Shirley, Indiana, she attended the Christ Fellowship Church. She wrote many poems about her love of Jesus and will now rest with Jesus forever. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be held from 12pm-1pm on Sunday, January 12, 2014 with the funeral to follow at the Liming Family Funeral Home located at 306 Main Street in Shirley Indiana with Pastor Bill Roberts officiating. Burial to follow at the Saunders Cemetery in Daleville, Indiana.
