Max Huth, the beautiful Golden Retriever boy of Taylor Huth from New Castle, Indiana, passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. Max was born in August of 2011, and he was a rescue pup. Max thankfully found a loving home with the Huth family, and in return, the Huth family found an abundance of unconditional love in return. Max would have celebrated his 14th birthday this August, which is in itself a remarkable feat for a Golden Retriever. According to the American Kennel Club, the average life expectancy of a Golden Retriever is 10-12 years. Even though Max lived a life longer than most Golden Retrievers, the entire Huth family would have loved to have had even more time with their sweet boy. Max was so easygoing and laid back. Max loved the outdoors. Max was happy munching on any food and was happy with any treat. His favorite toys were tennis balls and stuffed animals.
Max absolutely adored his human siblings and felt it was his responsibility to always keep an eye on them and make sure they were always safe. He would also join in the fun and was their best playmate. Max loved playing fetch with his human brother, Brandon, and loved playing catch with his human sister, Maylee, catching her food, that is. Maylee always shared her food with Max. Max was like their guardian and was always on alert. If he felt that little Maylee was climbing a bit too high, he would bark to let everyone know. When the family gathered around the television to watch movies, Max was always there letting Brandon and Maylee lay on him and use him as their pillow. Max also loved riding in the car, especially the daily car trips to pick up Brandon and Maylee from school.
Max had a special bond with his fur mama, Taylor. She was his “person.” He never left her side. Wherever she was, Max would be. Taylor worked the night shift, and when she would return home in the mornings, Max was always there waiting to greet her with his tail wagging.
His family jokingly referred to Max as “Clifford the Big Red Dog” because he looked like the cartoon character and was a big, sweet, gentle giant. Family is what brought Max the most joy in his life. When the entire family left the house together, Max would lie beside the door and wait there until they returned. He would then happily greet them, his tail wagging wildly. His family described Max as “the absolute perfect dog for our family,” continuing that he ”brightened our day every single day; we will miss him so, so much.” In addition to Taylor, mourning the loss of Max are his human siblings: Brandon and Maylee.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever In Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home, located in Shirley, Indiana. We are honored to serve the family of Max Huth.
