Maximus “Max” Satur

Maximus "Max” Satur, the six-year-old beautiful German Shepherd boy of Scott Satur of Huntington, Indiana, unexpectedly passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday, July 5, 2025. 

Max was born on Sunday, January 6, 2019, and he officially became a Scott’s boy on Friday, March 29, 2019.

Scott described Max’s personality as a “goofball who loved his humans.” He was friendly to the ones he knew but was very protective of his “oof,” which was the nickname for his youngest son, who was named Scott as well. 

Scott relayed that Max's favorite treats were his Peanut Butter Milk-Bone Treats.

Max loved bath time. Scott shared, “Bath time—he loved the hose; he would bite at it and catch it with his mouth.”

Max’s full name was “Maximus,” and he went by Max. He was also lovingly nicknamed “Maxipoo.”

Scott shared that Max loved tennis balls more than anything else to play with. 

Scott felt what Max valued the most in his life was hanging out and going swimming with his family and his beloved tennis balls. 

Max loved going on truck rides and boat rides out on the lake with his family. Scott shared that what he loved the most about Max was his long and fluffy fur and his bushy tail.

 One of Scott’s favorite memories of Max was after the first snowstorm; he brought Max outside, and he put his face in the snow and started burying his face in the snowdrifts. 

Scott also lovingly recalled how Max loved to jump off the dock and the boat to swim with the kids.

Max loved Scott so much, but he was especially close to “Oof.”

Max was loved beyond measure. He touched so many hearts during his short time here on earth and will be missed immensely, but his sweet spirit will remain in Scott and the entire Satur family’s hearts forever.
