Mira Spencer, 3½-year-old tabby girl of Deb Spencer of Wilkinson, Indiana, passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Mira was born in August of 2021 along with her sister, Frigg, to her cat dad, Adso, and cat mama, Silvy. They were “surprise” kittens because one month earlier Adso was neutered. Mira fit right in with her new home. Deb shared that the one thing she loved the most about Mira was that she was the first to warm up and welcome friends and family who came to visit. She was a social girl and always wanted to be around people and where the action was. Deb relayed, “My daughter came down for 2 weeks; she and Mira became fast friends. She loved people.” She would always want to be taken outside to “wave” goodbye to people as they were leaving. Mira had such a personality; she loved sea shanties. She would come in and listen to them if they were playing on Deb’s playlist. One of Mira’s favorite things she loved was the extra soft pillows on the bed; she would curl up to fit on the smallest one and sleep. One of Deb's favorite memories was dancing with Mira. “I picked her up one day and just started dancing around, and she was hooked. Every time she heard music, we had to do a little dance,” continuing, “She always wanted to be picked up.” Mira, who Deb lovingly referred to as "Mir," “Mircat, or “Mira Belle Lee” when she was exasperated with her, was loved so much. Her affectionate little personality will never be forgotten.
In addition to Deb, Mira will be mourned by her cat dad, Adso; cat mom, Silvy; and lots of cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her cat sister, Frigg, who was waiting to greet her on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever in Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home, located in Shirley, Indiana. We are honored to serve the family of Mira Spencer.
