Moose Kennedy, the beloved French Bulldog of Hannah Kennedy of Greenfield, Indiana, passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday, November 29, 2025.
Moose was born on Tuesday, July 30th, 2024, at the Pro Royal Kennels in Jacksonville, Florida. Moose officially became a member of the Kennedy family after he was adopted by his human mama, Hannah, and joined his family on September 24th, 2024.
When Hannah made the decision to adopt a French Bulldog puppy, the choice she made was one of the very best breeds suited for families—according to the American Kennel Club, the temperament of the French Bulldog is “playful, alert, adaptable, and completely irresistible; their alertness makes them excellent watchdogs. The bright, affectionate Frenchie is a charmer.”
Moose had the temperament of the traditional breed. Hannah described Moose’s personality as “a lovable, stubborn goofball.” The one thing Hannah loved most about Moose was “how he snored at all times—even while he was awake. I loved how he greeted me at the door when I got home.”
Moose did not like to take a bath, but, according to Hannah, “he tolerated bath time with a good smear of peanut butter on the shower wall!”
Moose had so many things in his life that he loved.
Hannah shared that Moose “had a great love for all of his toys—and I mean he had TONS! He had a stuffed moose that I bought him when he was brought home. I called it my Moose’s moose.”
Moose loved going bye-bye. Hannah relayed how he loved going for car rides. Moose would climb right up into his favorite spot and “would snooze the whole ride!”
Hannah relayed that Moose’s favorite snacks were “Anything his human siblings dropped on the floor! He loved trying new treats from BarkBox.”
What Hannah felt Moose valued the most in his life was “Naps, treats, and food! Hannah shared that Moose “loved eating and playing with any of his hundreds of toys and his friends.” Moose loved his entire family. But his favorite place to be was beside his favorite person, his human mama, Hannah. Moose, who was also known by the nicknames of “Goosey” and “Smooshface,” was loved by his family so much. Hannah recalled her favorite memory of Moose was how he always wanted to be held or ride in the car on her shoulder, nestled into her neck. Hannah lovingly held Moose from the day he came home as a little puppy to live, and lovingly she held him like that as a 33-pound boy after he crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Moose will forever be remembered for his sweet heart and the love and joy he brought to his family. They will miss him dearly but are grateful for the time they got to share with their sweet boy. In addition to Hannah, Moose will be sadly missed by his human dad, Daken; human siblings Carleigh, Adam, Dakota, Briar, and Briggs; and human grandparents Chris and Tracy. dog sister, Luna, and cat sister, Piper. His very best four-legged friend, Nelli, and two other four-legged best friends: Cooper & PeeWee.
