Novacaine Petty of New Castle, Indiana, the beautiful German Shepherd girl and retired canine officer of Richard and Pam Petty, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on Monday, June 24, 2025. Richard and Pam adopted Novacaine after she went into retirement from Richard’s friend. According to the American Kennel Club, “German Shepherds stand in the front rank of canine royalty, but experts say their defining attribute is character: loyalty, courage, confidence, the ability to learn commands for many tasks, and the willingness to put their life on the line in defense of loved ones. German Shepherds will be gentle family pets and steadfast guardians.” Novocaine was just that toward her family; she was loyal, loving, and a very protective girl. Novacaine, who her family referred to as “Nova,” was such a beloved member of the Novac family, and they will never forget their sweet girl. Novocaine will be forever missed and always remain in their hearts. Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever In Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home, located in Shirley, Indiana. We are honored to serve the family of Novacaine Petty.
