Pepper Lynch-Russell of Kennard, Indiana, a Great Dane girl of Elizabeth and John Russell and Lilliana Lynch, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on Friday, October 18, 2024. Pepper was born in Greensburg, Indiana, in April of 2020 and was adopted by Elizabeth and John Russell for their daughter Lilliana Lynch and the family in June of 2020.
Pepper was friendly, loyal, and loving—a big, fun, goofy, good girl with the sweetest personality. According to Pepper’s family, “Pepper would steal your food and your heart.” Pepper loved everyone and didn’t want anyone to leave her side. One of the family’s fondest memories is when Lilliana’s boyfriend was ready to leave their house and head to his own home, and Pepper promptly put a stop to it by sitting on him so he couldn’t leave. Pepper absolutely did not like taking a bath. Pepper also wasn’t a fan of riding in the car at all. What she loved most was her family and her family’s food. Anytime she could sneak a sandwich or a cookie from the humans that she loved, she was happy. Human food and her favorite human companions were a winning combination for Pepper. Pepper’s family jokingly recalled a memory of Pepper eating “all of our daughter Kaylen's cinnamon rolls fresh out of the oven,” stating, “Kaylen still has not recovered." Although Pepper loved everyone, she felt especially close to Lilliana and John. Pepper was such a lover; she enjoyed snuggling and cuddling up with blankets. Pepper, also lovingly referred to as “Peppers, Pep, Pepper Jo, Big Black,” had a great, big, loving heart and brought so much happiness and joy to the entire family, who are grieving her immensely.
Pepper will be forever missed, but she will be lovingly remembered and always remain in their hearts. In addition to Elizabeth, John, and Lilliana, mourning the loss of Pepper are her human siblings, Kaylen Lynch, Jaley Lynch, grandparents Brent and Angie Weaver, and dog siblings Elvis and Ranger, and everyone who was blessed to meet this sweet girl during her short time here on earth.
