Phyllis A. (Shanks) Walker

Phyllis A. (Shanks) Walker, age 68, passed away on Wednesday August 1, 2018 at Community East Hospital.  She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, David.  She is also survived by her son, Daniel and daughters, Missy Manning and Mindy Hickey, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.  Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Katie Shanks. Phyllis retired after many years of providing a loving and safe environment for many children while running a daycare from her home.  Phyllis was an avid gardener and loved all kinds of flowers.  Phyllis also enjoy her cats and was kind and caring to everyone she met.  Phyllis had a strong christian belief and attended church regularly. Phyllis will be sadly missed by her family and friends and all that knew her.  Phyllis is no longer in pain on this earth and is walking with Jesus.  The family is having a Celebration of Life in memory of Phyllis at a later date.
