Robert “Bob” Jean Carlton, age 85, passed away peacefully at his home on December 3, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II and retired from GM as a skilled tradesman. He served as President of Wilkinson Town Board for many years, was a member of Markleville F&AM Lodge 629 and Past Master of Shirley F&AM Lodge 531. After retirement he sold insurance, worked as an auctioneer and owned CC’s Pizza. Bob loved to play golf, go mushroom hunting and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his loving wife Beverly (Winn) Carlton of 65 years, parents Elbert and Edna (Milner) Carlton, and son-in-law Roger Rigney. Bob is survived by son James (Jennifer) Carlton, daughter Sherry Rigney, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
