Salem Null, a handsome 4-year-old black fur baby of Lauren Null from Greenfield, Indiana, passed over the rainbow bridge on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
Salem had been a part of Lauren’s life since September 2022. According to Lauren, she received him from a friend in Greenfield, Indiana, when he was just a baby.
Lauren relayed that Salem had "a great personality." He always wanted to play and just cuddle."
Lauren shared what she loved most about Salem: "He was goofy; he was a cuddle bug. and he was just my best friend."
Lauren recalled her favorite memory of her time with Salem. "When he brought my mom a mouse one time and she freaked out, he ended up letting go of it, and it ran all around my mom's room until he got it again."
Like most cats, Salem hated getting a bath and focused on keeping himself clean. Lauren recalled, "He was such a soft boy.” and he did not care for car rides.
Lauren felt what Salem valued the most in life was "being with his family and his food.”
Lauren shared Salem “loved taking over my son's popsicles” as a treat.
Salem, who also went by the nicknames of "Mr. Man” and “Demon Cat."
Salem was loving towards his entire family, but he had a special closeness towards Lauren. Lauren shared, "I was his mommy, his safe place.
Lauren shared that his favorite toys were his “little spring toys.”
Salem was loved so very much and will be missed tremendously.
In addition to Lauren mourning the loss of Salem, his human sibling Matthew.
