Sam Kendall Obituary

Sam Kendall of Greenfield, Indiana, the beloved 15-year-old pug of Linda and Thomas Kendall, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on Thursday, September 4, 2025.

Sam was a young pup who had a rough start in life. He was placed at the Kentuckiana Pug Rescue. His life changed for the better on March 11, 2011, when he became a member of Linda and Thomas Kendall’s family. When he joined the family, he was estimated to be three to six months old. Sam immediately fit right in as a member of the Kendall family, making himself right at home.

Thomas shared that something that he loved the most about Sam was that “he was a great companion, and he rescued us.”
Thomas relayed his favorite memory of Sam was their snuggle time together and described Sam’s personality as “perfect.” One of Sam’s favorite things to do was to go on car rides with Thomas and Linda. Something Sam “hated” was taking a bath and having his nails trimmed. Sam enjoyed playing with his favorite toy, his “purple girlfriend.” What Thomas felt Sam enjoyed the most in his life was “companionship.”
What Thomas felt Sam valued above all was “his treats and sleeping with us.”
Sam didn’t really have a favorite treat; he liked almost everything to eat. Sam was a sweet boy who loved almost everyone, but Sam’s strongest bond was with his mama, Linda; she was his person. Sam, also known as “Sammy” and “Baby,” was loved very much. Thomas and Linda are so saddened by the loss of their sweet boy, but his memory will forever remain in their hearts. Also mourning his loss are Bailey, Masie, Jacks, Gemma, Maggie, Opie, and Ruthie.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever In Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home, located in Shirley, Indiana. We are honored to serve the family of Sam Kendall.
