Sammy McCance Obituary

Sammy McCance, age 12, of Anderson, Indiana, the handsome Shih Tzu of Kimberly and Bill McCance, passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Sunday, October 5, 2025.

Sammy was born in Noblesville, Indiana, and joined the McCance family at 12 weeks old. Since that day he has brought so much joy and happiness to the home with his sweet personality. His family described his personality as “such a loving boy.”

Kimberly jokingly recalled that Sammy’s favorite things in life were basically “his treats” and that he loved going on car rides with his family.

Kimberly shared her favorite memory of Sammy: “When him and Lilly had thier babies he knew when Lilly needed a break he would lay with the puppies so she could take a break. He was such a loving Daddy”

Kimberly felt what Sammy valued the most in his life was his family. Sammy would watch over everyone. He treated everyone he knew like family and just absolutely loved everyone he came across. Kimberly shared that he was just such a “loving baby.”

Kimberly relayed what she loved the most about Sammy: “his attitude, he was strong minded but so so loving.”

Kimberly shared Sammy didn’t mind being bathed and groomed. She said in all the years that she took Sammy to his groomer she “never got any complaints that he was a naughty boy.”

Sammy had one particular toy he liked to play with..”

Sammy’s favorite treats were baby tomatoes and red peppers.

Sammy was a sweet soul and deeply cared for his entire family; but he had a special bond with Kimberly.

Kimberly and Bill and the entire McCance family are absolutely heartbroken by the loss of their sweet boy, Sammy, who touched so many lives and left so many memories during his 12 years as a member of the family. He will be forever remembered.

In addition to his human parents, Kimberly and Bill, Sammy will be sadly missed by his fur love, Lilly, his fur children; Willow his daughter, Ollie his son, Hunter his son, and Abby his Daughter
