Sandra "Sandy" Lynn (Molden) Jackson

Sandra “Sandy” Lynn (Molden) Jackson, age 75, of Shirley, Indiana, passed away Friday, March 18, 2022 at her residence. She was born on January 3, 1947 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Russell and Ruth (Thomas) Molden. She married the love of her life, James Jackson, on June 11, 1965, in Wilkinson, Indiana. Sandy’s creativity and talent led her to work at the local fabric store, Ruth’s Odds & Ends and other retail craft stores over the years. She also worked alongside her parents at their hardware store, Molden’s True Value Hardware in Wilkinson, Indiana. She later took on the role of Pastor's wife when her husband James became the Pastor of the Shirley Friends Church, 20 years ago. Sandy was his biggest supporter and was very active in church events such as church dinners, Christmas giveaways, Bible school, church workdays, visitations and more. She enjoyed cross-stitch, embroidery, sewing, and crafting. She loved to travel to her and her husband's favorite locations of Gatlinburg, Tennessee and Shipshewana, Indiana. Most of all she loved her family and her time spent with them. Sandy was deeply loved by her family and husband of 57 years, and she will be missed dearly. Sandy will be remembered by her husband, James Jackson; son, Rusty (Janice) Jackson; daughter, Jama (Michael) Black; grandchildren, Shay Black, Micah Black, Bryce Jackson; Brothers, Terry (Sally) Molden and Kevin Molden. Sandy was preceded in death by her son, Brian Jackson; parents, Russell and Ruth Molden. A Celebration Of Life service will be at Shirley Friends Church in Shirley, Indiana on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. A dinner will follow along with a time of sharing your happiest memories of Sandy.
