Sassy Newhouse Obituary

Sassy Newhouse

December 13, 2025

Sassy Newhouse of Greenfield, Indiana, the tabby girl of Lori Newhouse, passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

Sassy was born on a farm. Unfortunately this little one had a rough start in life after her mother passed away when she was only one week old. She found her forever home after Lori rescued her, bottle-feeding her every night and day.

Sassy was very loyal to her family. According to Lori, “She was only loving with her family. She wasn’t fond of visitors.” Sassy enjoyed sitting in the window and spending time in the living room with her family.

Lori shared what they loved most about Sassy: was her “sassy personality.”

Sassy wasn’t a fan of riding in the car and did not like traveling at all.

Her favorite food was Sheba’s, and she would love to eat lunchmeat.

Sassy's favorite toy was “her green sparkly ball that she loved carrying in her mouth everywhere she went.”

Sassy, who was also known by the nicknames of “Sassles,” “Fradle,” and “Sass,” was a sweet girl and was particularly attached to her “mama,” Lori, as well as Carlie, Asher, Bentlee, Debbie, and Tenley, who will all miss her immensely. She will also be missed by her fur siblings, brother “Baby” and sister “Marigold.” She loved them very much.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever in Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home, located in Shirley, Indiana. We are honored to serve the family of Sassy Newhouse.
