Sherri Dawn Day

Sherri Dawn Day, age 52, of Knightstown, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. Sherri was born in Rushville, Indiana, the daughter of Ronald Helderbrand Sr. and Gala (Dyer) Helderbrand, on Saturday, May 13, 1972. Sherri was a 1990 graduate of Knightstown High School. After graduation, Sherri dedicated her life to the job she loved the most, being a full-time mom and grandmother. Sherri was a beautiful soul. She enjoyed rock and roll music, especially Kid Rock, Nazareth, and Journey. Sherri was also a big NASCAR fan; her favorite drivers were Jeff Gordon and Jimmy Johnson. Sherri’s love of animals was abundant; she took in every stray cat or dog and gave them a loving home.Above all, Sherri enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Sherri’s love for her family and kindness for animals will forever be treasured. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, Ronald Sr. and Gala, Sherri is survived by her three children: Christopher (Dupont) Craig, Jessica Craig, and Montana Craig; her grandchildren: Nova, Luna, Shawn, Brayden, Xavier, Malachi, and Raelynn; and her brother Ronald “Bo” Helderbrand Jr. Sherri is preceded in death by her daughter, Alyssa, and her grandmother, Martha “Granny” Shorey. Cremation has been accorded, and the family welcomes any memories and condolences to be shared online. The staff of Liming Family Funeral Home are honored to serve the family of Sherri Dawn Day.
