Shirley LaDonna Grathouse

Shirley LaDonna Grathouse, 82, passed away on November 14, 2015 at Franciscan St. Francis Health in South Indianapolis. She was born on December 26, 1932.  She was the daughter of Fred and Alice Kording. She retired from Western Electric after 29 years of service. After retirement she worked at Hardee's restaurant to keep herself busy and because she loved being around people. She is survived by her loving children.  She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as many other family and friends she made along the way. She loved spending time around her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting and was an amazing cook...she made an awesome Sauerkraut and Pork Chop Dinner that her family truly enjoyed.  She will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.  Funeral service will be held at the Southport United Methodist Church located at 1947 E. Southport Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227 on Thursday November 19th with visitation from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, with funeral service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Mark Fisher officiating.  Burial to follow on Friday November 20th at 11:00 am at New Crown Cemetery located at 2101 Churchman Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46203
