Simba Wise

Simba Wise, the handsome 12-year-old orange and white tabby fur baby of Karisa and Allan Wise from Pendleton, Indiana, passed over the Rainbow Bridge in the early hours on Monday, June 29, 2026.

Simba was born in Oceanside, California, in December of 2013. Karisa described Simba’s personality as “very laid back and such a cuddle bug, and loved being anywhere near the kids."

When asked what his favorite object or toy was, Karisa recalled, "He wasn’t big on toys; he loved basking in the sun and lying with the kids every chance he got.”

Karisa shared what she loved most about Simba: "He loved his human kiddos so much." 

She additionally recalled her favorite memory of her time with Simba. “His first time realizing he loved snow.”

Karisa also shared, "He loved to try and sneak outside; one time we thought we lost him back in Pennsylvania and searched for hours. Right before the sun went down and I was about to pull the car into the driveway, I noticed glowing eyes, and he was against the neighbor's garage and ran as fast as he could to the car the second he saw me. He was definitely a scaredy-cat! Another time he had caught a mouse and laid it at Grandma's feet and scared the crap out of her.”

Karisa shared, "He wasn’t too fond of baths but didn’t fight it much. Loved to be groomed and loved when we would shave him in the summer when he was a chunky boy."

According to Karisa. He did enjoy car rides and loved going in the backyard to roll around on the concrete. He loved his times outside with us.”

Karisa shared that what she felt Simba valued most in his life was "the love his family gave him and the spoiled life he had." "And steak; he really loved steak.”

She also shared that Simba’s favorite snacks or treats were "catnip, steak, rotisserie chicken, and spaghetti.”

Simba, who also went by the nickname of "Meow, Meow,” was loving towards his entire family. Karisa relayed he tended to be more attached to the kids and herself. 

Simba’s family is heartbroken by the loss of their sweet boy. He will be forever missed and never forgotten. In addition to his human parents, Karisa and Allan, mourning the loss of Simba are his human brothers Gavin, Brantlee, and Aaron; human sister Gracie; human grandma Lori; doggie sister Buttercup; and kitty sister Dixie.
