Teresa Lynn (Wissmann) Gable

Teresa Lynn Gable, of Shirley, Indiana, passed away at her residence on Monday, September 9, 2024. Teresa was born in Greenfield, Indiana, to the late Harold Walter Wissmann and Mary (Inman) Wissmann on Wednesday, March 10, 1965. Teresa was a 1983 graduate of Greenfield Central High School. After graduation, Teresa worked part time at Pizza Hut before dedicating her life to the job she loved the most, being a full-time mom to her son’s Danny and Richard and grandmother to Jadelynn Beth. 
Teresa was a free spirit. She was a lover of all types of music, from heavy metal bands such as Metallica to country music stars like Chris Stapleton. For over fifteen years Teresa enjoyed spending time watching television shows such as “Gunsmoke” with her longtime love Phillip Epperson until his passing in January of 2019. Teresa attended Greenfield Christian Church and was a giver; she volunteered her time by helping others as a caretaker working at Shawn’s Place in Greenfield, Indiana. In her spare time, Teresa enjoyed playing cards and dice with family and friends. Teresa had such a gift of gardening, a true “green thumb,” she could bring the nearly dead back to life when given a plant that others had all but given up on. She would bring it back to a beautiful, thriving plant. Teresa’s love for family and passion for music and nature will forever be treasured. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Teresa is survived by her two children: Danny (Amanda) Gable and William Richard Shelton Gable, and her granddaughter, Jadelynn Beth Gable.
She is also survived by her sisters, Sandy (Sam) Wheeler and Janet (Tom) Neal. Also mourning the loss of Teresa is her beloved dog Sammy. In addition to her parents, Teresa is preceded in death by her brother, Harold Wissmann, and the love of her life, Phillip Epperson. 
Liming Family Funeral Home is entrusted with Teresa's care. In accordance with Teresa's wishes, she will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
