Twiggie "Twiggerson" Wright Obituary

Twiggie "Twiggerson" Kai Wright, the sweet orange tabby of Cycillia Wright of Rushville, Indiana, unexpectedly passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Monday, April 20, 2026.

Cycillia found Twiggie on October 25, 2025, in Milroy, Indiana. It was love at first sight. She saw that he was alone and afraid and should still be nursing from his mommy. He also had an injured tail. She knew she had to save him. Cycillia begged her mom, Megan, to keep him. After seeing him, Megan told Cycillia jokingly you could only keep him if you named him Twiggie because his poor little tail looked like a twig. Cycillia immediately agreed and made the joke into a fully sealed deal. The two of them were inseparable from that moment forward. Cycillia bottle fed him and helped him transition to kitten food. She gave him baths and trimmed his nails and groomed him. He enjoyed his grooming sessions! He lived in her room, and she was very protective of him. He enjoyed belly rubs so much!

The family described Twiggie’s personality as “spunky and full of zest! He was a giant love bug!”

According to Megan, what Cycillia loved the most about Twiggie was that “Twiggie loved Cycillia as much as he loved her. He had been prescribed and registered as Cycillia’s emotional support animal. He snuggled her every moment he could. He knew when she needed him most. He needed her just as much. He enjoyed being perched on her shoulder as Cycillia did her chores and moved around the house. Often he was referred to as being “broken” because he enjoyed dangling over the armrest of the recliner with his head towards the floor as the family enjoyed family movie nights. He loved all of his family, but in comparison to his love for Cycillia the rest was second best.”

The family shared one of their favorite memories of Twiggie. “Once Megan thought she was helping Cycillia with caring for Twiggie. She kept the food bag open in case she were to forget to feed him. About a week later Megan picked Twiggie up, and he was heavy like a brick. Megan was so shocked and wondered what was wrong and how this happened. Cycillia started laughing and said, “He is just fat! You left his food bag open!” It was in that moment Megan knew that Cycillia was doing a great job on her own and knew what she was doing and was capable of being responsible for him. The food bag got closed up, and Cycillia took charge again from there on out! That orange cat vibe wasn’t just for cartoon characters! His favorite snack was pizza.

Cycillia recalled her favorite memory of Twiggie was how he would crawl into her lap to fall asleep. And Lyriq remembered how Twiggie loved belly rubs. Finnlee thought it was hilarious when he would steal Cycillia’s pizza and then hide with it.

What Twiggie valued the most in life was Cycillia overall. He enjoyed having his cat bed on his own side of Cycillia’s bed.

Twiggie loved Cycillia so much; they had a unique bond and love for one another. Cycillia was his person! She was his emotional support human!

Twiggie, who was also lovingly referred to by the nickname of "Twiggerson," was loved so very much. He touched so many hearts during his short time here on earth and will be missed immensely, but his sweet spirit will remain in his family’s hearts.

Twiggie was met on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge by his canine fur brother Rip and bunny sister Luna, and feline brother Punkin who preceded him in death.

In addition to his human mom and best friend, Cycilla, mourning the loss of Twiggie are his human aunts, Paisley and Finnlee; human uncles, Lyriq and Chandler; human Grandma Megan; and his canine fur brothers, Mighty and Biggen.
