Uno Stacy Obituary

Uno Smythe-Stacy of Saint Paul, Indiana, a sweet Orange and White Tabby boy of Andy Smythe and Pam Stacy, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on Monday, October 14, 2024. Uno was born in Indiana and into hardship, without a home of his own. Thankfully, a good man, Andy Smythe, stepped in to foster Uno through the wonderful group, FACE, the Pet Advocacy and Adoption Organization of Indianapolis. Andy ultimately went on to adopt Uno and gave him a loving home. Uno remained with Andy until January of 2017. It was during this time that Andy’s mother, Brenda, approached Andy with a request. Brenda has been a best friend to Pam since they were little girls. After Pam moved to the country, Brenda relayed to her son Andy that Pam needed some kittens for companionship after her move. During that time Andy approached Pam, and Uno made the transition to live with Pam, and Andy was still able to keep in touch with his sweet boy. Uno settled in just fine. He was a silly, fun, loving boy. Uno enjoyed being groomed so much that he would carry his comb to Pam so she could come through his fur. One of his favorite things was his towel; he would carry it in his mouth and around the house with him everywhere. Uno adored Andy, and when Andy came for a visit, Uno would make sure he was either by Andy’s side or beside his cat brother, Titan, who he loved as well. If not by Andy or Titan’s side, you would find Uno snuggled up with Pam, whom he cuddled with and slept beside every night. He didn’t care for water but would peek around the running shower to keep an eye on Pam to make sure she was still there. He didn’t like riding in cars, but he loved taking a walk on his leash. Uno was so silly and had an ornery streak. He was an independent boy, but he knew he was loved beyond words. Uno, also known affectionately as “Butterscotch, Fluffy Butt, Blonde, and Kiki”, was a beautiful, sweet old boy and a loving companion to Andy and Pam for many years. In addition to Andy, Pam and his cat brother, Titian, mourning the loss of Uno are Grandma Brenda Smythe, Grandpa Bill Smythe, Uncle Eric and Aunt Amanda Wicker, cousins Paige and Kamdyn, dog cousins Bennett and Beau, Aunt Debi Dishman, and dog cousin Zorro.
