Windy Miller of Hagerstown, Indiana, the 14-year-old precious miniature dachshund of Anna and Rusty Miller, passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Monday, October 27, 2025.
Windy was born on Saturday, May 14, 2011, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and when the time was right, she was adopted by the Miller family.
The one thing the family loved most about Windy was how sweet and snuggly she was.
The family’s favorite memory of Windy was “How tiny she was when we got her.”
Windy loved most everything with one exception: like most dachshunds, Windy absolutely did not enjoy being groomed or given a bath.
Windy loved going for car rides with her family. Windy also enjoyed the outdoors. The family recalled how she was a little escape artist, but she didn’t get too far from home: “She liked to escape the fenced-in area and just hang out on the front porch until someone opened the front door.”
Windy’s family described her personality as “spry and sassy.”
Windy’s favorite toy was “Butters the lobster.”
Her family shared that what Windy valued the most in her life was “cereal milk and an electric blanket.” Although she loved cereal milk, according to her, her favorite treat was “potato peels.”
Windy, who was also referred to by her family as “Princess” because she was the princess who ruled her even bigger fur siblings, loved everyone, but she had a special relationship with her human daddy, Rusty. For 14 years Windy was a special girl who has always been by her family’s side. She expressed love towards everyone who walked through the door of the Miller home.
She will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by her human family: parents, Anna and Rusty, and her human sisters, Nora, Gracey and Natalie as well as her fur siblings.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever In Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home, located in Shirley, Indiana. We are honored to serve the family of Windy Miller.
