ZaZa Kirk, the handsome 4-year-old Siamese fur baby of Katana Kirk from Anderson, Indiana, passed over the Rainbow Bridge at 5:30 pm on Saturday, July 3, 2026.
ZaZa was born in June of 2022 in Anderson, Indiana, and became part of the Kirk family on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, when some friends of Katana’s were looking for a good home for him.
Katana described ZaZa’s personality as “He was so, so friendly and the sweetest boy I ever met. He was playful and funny; everyone who met him absolutely loved him. He was the best cat I ever had and everything you would want in a cat.”
When asked what his favorite object or toy was, Katana recalled, "He had this little toy mouse he would carry everywhere.”
Katana shared what she loved most about ZaZa: “His personality was the best; he was the sweetest cat I ever met””.”
She additionally recalled her favorite memory of her time with ZaZa. “We would go outside when it rains, and we would just sit in the car and chill together, and he would just sit on my lap next to me, or when he was a baby and he would come and curl up under my chin and sleep, he would still try when he was grown too, but he was so big he would just plop on my face.”
Katana also shared, "He was our little parrot. He would jump on our shoulders and sit while we walked around the house.
When asked about if ZaZa enjoyed being bathed and groomed, Katana recalled, "No, not really, but he did love his face being rubbed all the way up and down to his tail; there wasn't a place he didn't want pets."
When asked if ZaZa liked going Bye Bye, according to Katana. “He would get scared when we first started moving, but after a while he would calm down and watch out of the widow.”
Katana shared that what she felt ZaZa valued most in his life was "probably me; he was stuck up my butt, he never left my side, and every time I left the house, he would get very vocal and would stand at my door and wait for me he was my baby; we were like attached at the hip.”
When asked what ZaZa’s favorite snacks or treats were, Katana shared, "I don't know what it was, but every time I had a bag of chips, he would come running, and he is slick; he would be eating one right next to you, and you wouldn't even realize, and he would snatch it right out of our hands when we were putting it in our mouth with his paw.”
ZaZa, who also went by the nickname of "Zazie,” was loving towards his entire family. Katana relayed he tended to be more attached to her, recalling, “He really was attached to me ever since he was a baby. " At my friend's house, he would follow me everywhere; he was my bathroom buddy. He would literally never leave my side unless he needed to eat or use the bathroom.”
ZaZa’s family is heartbroken by the sudden loss of their sweet boy. He will be forever missed and never forgotten. In addition to Katana mourning the loss of ZaZa are his human family members, Hollie Kirk, Sam Blade, and Kunai Dagger, and his fur siblings Loony, Delilah, Gunther, and Flokie.
Zaza was greeted crossing the Rainbow Bridge by Oreo, who preceded Zaza in death.
