Zeus .

Zeus, age 15, of Greenwood, Indiana, the beloved Maltese mix of Cyndi, Chris, Crystal and Mitchell, passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Friday, October 3, 2025.

Zeus was born on Friday, September the 10th of 2010 in Richmond, Indiana. He became a member of the family at 6 weeks old. Since the day he joined the family, he brought so much joy and happiness to the home with his sweet personality. Crystal described his personality as “loyal, loving, and playful.”

Zeus enjoyed going on car rides with his family. He loved being held and sticking his head out of the window.

Crystal shared her favorite memory of Zeus: “Christmas every year. He loved Christmas so much, probably more than anyone else in the family (which is saying a lot). While everyone else got new pajamas to wear on Christmas morning, he would get a new sweater to wear. He got impatient waiting for everyone to get up and ready to open gifts. He loved seeing what was in his stocking and opening gifts to see what new toys and treats he got. He was always so exhausted by the end of it, oftentimes falling asleep in his new bed with a new toy or two while everyone else was still opening gifts.”

Crystal felt what Zeus valued the most in his life was “his family and belly rubs. You were not allowed to walk past him without rubbing his belly. Also, his favorite chair. If you sat in this chair, you had a Zeus in your lap.”

Crystal shared what she loved the most about Zeus: “How loving and cuddly he was”

Zeus was a well-behaved boy, and according to Crystal, “he didn't mind baths, but he loved getting wrapped up in a towel and being held afterward.”

Zeus’s favorite toys to play with were the ones he got each year from Santa. 

Zeus had so much personality. Crystal shared how “Zeus loved being pushed around the house in a stroller. There was a little purple baby doll bathtub he would sit in and loved being pushed around in as well. He also loved going sledding in the backyard.”

Zeus’s favorite treats were pepperoni. Crystal shared, “As soon as he saw you pull a pizza out of the freezer, he started cycling through all his tricks and waited for his treat.”

Zeus was a sweet soul and deeply cared for his entire family; he always seemed to sense who needed him the most, and he would always be by their side. Crystal relayed, “He loved his entire family equally; he had a way of knowing when you needed him most and was there for you.”

 His entire family are absolutely heartbroken by the loss of their sweet boy, Zeus, who touched so many lives and left so many memories during his nine years as a member of the family. Zeus will never be forgotten and will forever remain in their hearts. 

In addition to Cyndi, Chris, Crystal and Mitchell, Zeus will be sadly missed by his human siblings, Mckenzie, Ross, Marissa and  Ashli.
