Ziggy Pratt Obituary

Ziggy Pratt, a handsome 12-year-old tabby fur baby of Brain, Hollie, Bryson, and Lillian Pratt from Greenfield, Indiana, passed over the rainbow bridge at 4:10 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026.

Ziggy had been a part of the Pratt family since Monday, September 2, 2013, when he nibbled on Hollie’s eyelashes at Uncle Bill's. Hollie knew that she had to have him. She surprised Bryson and Lillian that day by picking them up from school with Ziggy in a blanket. Luckily for Ziggy, or better yet luckily for them, he found his forever home.

From that day forward Ziggy was everyone’s boy. Later in Ziggy’s life, he became inseparable from Lillie. Lillian described Ziggy’s personality as "loving, kind, and protective."

When asked what his favorite object or toy was Lillian jokingly but honestly responded  “I was his favorite thing,” sharing “he was always attached to my hip.”

Lillian shared what she loved most about Ziggy: "How he slept with me every night.” She additionally recalled her favorite memory of her time with Ziggy. “How every time I told him to come on or patted my hip he would follow.”

Brain shared what he loved most about Ziggy:  “How loving he was”.

What Bryson loved most about Ziggy: “Was how loving and comfortable he made you feel” and his favorite memory was walking out of school and getting into the car and realizing we had a kitten.

Hollie’s favorite memory about Ziggy: “he would lay beside her on a blanket on his back with his back legs loose relaxed and spread apart and she would rub his belly” or when it was time for a nap she would look at him and raise her hands as if to ask “are you coming” with out saying a word and he would come.  What Hollie loved most about Ziggy was how vocal he was and how he was always there to make you feel better by doing nothing more than just being his loving self, or when you would pick him up, he would just lay his head on your shoulder.

Like most cats, Ziggy hated getting a bath, but Lillian shared, "He loved being brushed.” He absolutely did not care for car rides; according to Lillian, “he hated the car.”

The Pratt family shared that what they felt that Ziggy valued most in his life was lying on a soft blanket on a warm lap. Lillian added that Ziggy “loved Churus and good food (canned food)"; it was his favorite treat.

As far as eating things, he didn’t always eat what he was supposed to. Lillian shared how he would chow down on their Christmas tree each year.

Ziggy, who also adoringly went by the nicknames of "Ziggers,” "Ziggies," “Lovey,” and “My Ziggy," was loving towards his entire family, but he had a special closeness towards Lillian; she was his favorite person.

The home will never be the same without Ziggy (the bestest of boys), who was loved and will be missed so much, but his precious memories will remain.

Mourning the loss of Ziggy is his entire family: Brian, Hollie, Bryson and Lillian Pratt, along with Kathy Bays (Granny).

Arrangements have been entrusted to Always & Furever in Our Hearts Pet Cremation in association with Liming Family Funeral Home, located in Shirley, Indiana. We are honored to serve the family of Ziggy Pratt.
