Zoey Musser Obituary

Zoey Musser of New Palestine, Indiana, a 15-year-old Chocolate Labrador girl of Justin and Jenna Musser, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on Monday, September 16, 2024. Zoey was born in Martinsville, Indiana, before becoming a member of the Musser family in October of 2009. Zoey was such an intricate part of the Musser family. Zoey was friendly, loyal, and loving—a smart girl with a huge personality. Zoey was such a sweet soul. She had a constant smile on her face and would put a smile on everyone else’s face around her. Zoey was always a fun-loving ball of fur. Her family shared how she found so much joy in splashing and playing in the water at their old house when it would flood around the storm drain. When Zoey was a bit younger, she loved riding in the pickup truck. She knew that meant the family was going camping, which she loved. As she aged, like old girls sometimes do, traveling made her a bit anxious. Zoey was a connoisseur of sliced ham and would eat it every chance she could. Zoey adored her family, especially her human siblings, Makenna and Mason. Zoey’s favorite place to be was outside, enjoying the sunshine and playing with Makenna and Mason. Zoey was with them, by their side, from the day they came home from the hospital and remained by their side until her final days. She was their protector and best fur brother and friend. Zoey felt especially close to Makenna and was her shadow. Zoey also loved both of her fur siblings, Doberman Demi and French Bulldog Hazel. She was motherly to them, kept them in line, and made sure they followed the rules, but lovingly snuggled and cuddled up with them each day and night. Zoey was such a lover; she enjoyed getting belly rubs and pretty much snuggling and cuddling up with everyone. Zoey, also lovingly referred to as “Zozo” and “Old Girl,” had a great big, loving heart brought happiness and joy to the Musser family for over 15 years; if the power of love could have saved her, she would have remained forever with the Musser family, who are grieving her immensely. Zoey will be forever missed, but she will be lovingly remembered and always remain in their hearts. In addition to Justin and Jenna, mourning the loss of Zoey are her human siblings, Makenna and Mason, her dog siblings, Demi and Hazel, and everyone who crossed paths with this sweet girl during her short time here on earth.
